The Group vs. Half-Everything

The Group vs. Half-Everything

This is the second of two full-page comics starring “The Group” that ran in The Stranger. I’m pretty sure the idea for Half-Everything was hatched by a grade schooler in one of my after-school comics classes.

Red Light

Red Light

I did this comic, with an assist from David Lasky, for the back cover of our comic book Urban Hipster #2 (Alternative Press, 2003).

Two Spiders

Two Spiders

This comic was a favorite of mine from a comic strip that ran in The Stranger and The Portland Mercury called Dwarf Attack (2000-2004).

Ozzfest 2005

Ozzfest 2005

I drew this comic report on Ozzfest for The Stranger in 2005. In 2007, a corporate sponsorship allowed for free admittance to the day-long concert; it hurt my brain to try to imagine what the crowd would look like without the hurdle of having to scrape together $35.

The Kiss-a-thon

The Kiss-a-thon

This comic was commissioned by a friend as a present for her wife (who’s a die-hard “I Love Lucy” aficionado) on her 33rd birthday.
