Illustrated letters

From 2007 to 2010 I illustrated reader letters and comments as a regular feature for The Stranger. This one was written to the paper by someone who attended the last call at the first incarnation of the Pony, a fabulously grimy bar in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. My idea was to draw the letter as if it had been scrawled on/with the detritus left by patrons on the floor of the bar. See more at thestranger.com (search for “illustrated comment of the week”).
