Here’s an illustration I did this month for City Arts, a monthly magazine in Seattle that covers the local art, music, and theater scene. The above drawing is my take on what it feels like at times walking around my city.

In honor of the coming month, here’s the back cover to Urban Hipster #1. When it seemed as though Urban Hipster might be a much more regular series than it turned into, my plan was to do a different monochromatic back cover for each issue, with the color choice somehow reflecting the mood or content of the story.

This is another comic from my strip Dwarf Attack that, at the time, seemed to make sense, and now ten years later is sort of baffling. I think Yes and No are supposed to be trees.

I Don’t Really Feel Like it

Since drawing this strip in 2005, I’ve gone on (somewhat misguidedly?) to do a graphic novel-length “story” with these characters. At some point I’ll post an excerpt from that book (Disillusioned Illusions), but I’ve got a few more short strips as well.
